• Enjoy a relaxed paddle amongst penguins in False Bay
• Experienced and professional guides conduct each trip
• Safe and sturdy kayaks
• No experience in kayaking necessary
Experience one of the more unique places in the world – a penguin colony in the middle of suburbia! And one of the best places to see it is from the water in a sturdy sea kayak!
Departing from Simon’s Town Waterfront, you will paddle past the civilian and Naval harbour as your guide points out places of interest to you. A leisurely paddle hugging the coast takes you to Boulder’s Beach, home to a breeding colony of African Penguins. View and photograph the penguins.
Once everyone including other experience goers has had their fill of these raucous but charming sea birds, you’ll take a leisurely return paddle back to your starting point at the harbour.
In summer you may then stop on a beach for a swim or dive into the water off the kayaks. During whale season from July to November keep a look out for breaching whales that come in close to the shore to calve.
