From wetlands with indigenous plants to pristine beaches and beautiful scenery, this horse riding experience will be sure to tick all the boxes on your adventure list.
Upon arrival at the stables you will be greeted by your qualified and experienced trail guide who will assess your riding skill and pair you with your trusty steed for your adventure. With helmets on it will be time to set off! The ride will take you over wetlands which forms part of the Table Mountain National Park. Look out for indigenous plants and wildlife that inhabit this area. Then it’s over the dunes and onto the beach.
Stretching for over 8 kilometres, this beach is one of the most unspoilt and best protected beaches on the Atlantic Cape Coast. At one end it is guarded over by Kommetjie lighthouse and at the other end of the beach Chapmans Peak plunges into the sea. Be on the lookout for dolphins that can often be seen playing in the surf. You will also be able to see the shipwreck of the Kakapo, the Scottish built steamship that ran aground in 1900.
Remember to please wear long pants and closed shoes to enjoy your experience fully and take along a jacket as it could get cold on the beach.
